Who is responsible

NWH Coding d.o.o., at the address above, is the controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

Visiting our websites

This covers nwhcoding.com, the product documentation under it, and our two documentation wikis, unreal.dynamicwaterphysics.com and nwhvehiclephysics.com.

When a page is requested, our web server records the requesting IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the response status and size, the referring page and the browser’s user-agent string. We use these logs to run the sites, find faults and defend against attacks, which is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are deleted after 14 days. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.

The sites are hosted on a server rented from DigitalOcean in Frankfurt, Germany. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, which protects the sites against attacks and delivers them faster. Cloudflare therefore processes your IP address and request details on our behalf, and may receive network error reports from your browser.

Cookies and similar storage

nwhcoding.com sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking, and loads nothing from other companies’ servers. The documentation remembers what you typed into its table-of-contents filter in your browser’s session storage; it is never sent to us and is cleared when you close the tab.

The two wikis set one cookie, DokuWiki, which the wiki software needs to work. It contains a random session identifier and is deleted when you close your browser. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (for example __cf_bm) when it needs to check that a request comes from a real browser.

Emailing us

If you email us, we use your address and message to answer you, which is in our legitimate interest or needed to support a product you bought (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Our mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail). We keep correspondence while it is needed for your request, and longer only where the law requires us to keep business records.

Purchase verification on our Discord server

Our Discord server has a bot that gives verified customers access to support channels and, where offered, to private source repositories. If you use it, we process your Discord user ID and username, the Unity Asset Store invoice number you enter, the products it covers, the roles granted and the time of the check, and, if you link one, your GitHub username. The invoice number is checked with Unity, and repository invitations are sent through GitHub. This is needed to provide the support you are entitled to (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The records run on a server we operate ourselves. We keep them while the access they grant exists, because each invoice can be used only once; you can ask us to delete yours at any time, which also removes that access.

Who else receives data

Only the service providers named above: DigitalOcean (hosting), Cloudflare (delivery and security), Google (email), and Unity, Discord and GitHub for purchase verification. Some of them are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data and do not use automated decision-making.

Pages we link to, such as the Unity Asset Store, Fab, YouTube, Discord, X, GitLab and LinkedIn, are run by those companies under their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your personal data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email us and we will answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Croatian data protection authority, the Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
