    Exhaust Smoke

    ExhaustSmoke inspector.

Dynamically adjusts exhaust particle systems based on engine RPM and load. Emission rate, size, speed, and color scale with engine state to create realistic exhaust effects.

    Setup

    • Position ParticleSystems at vehicle exhaust locations
    • Pre-configured prefab available in Effects > Particles > Prefabs
    • Add particle systems to the Particle Systems list

    Properties

    Color Behavior

    • Normal Color: Light gray smoke used at idle/light throttle
    • Soot Color: Dark smoke appearing under heavy load
    • Soot Intensity [0-1]: Controls how much smoke darkens under load. Higher values for diesel/older vehicles that produce black smoke during acceleration

RPM-Based Multipliers (scale from 1.0 at idle to max value at redline)

    • Max Rate Multiplier [1-10]: Emission rate scaling. Higher RPM = more particles
    • Max Size Multiplier [1-5]: Particle size scaling. Higher RPM = larger particles
    • Max Speed Multiplier [1-5]: Start speed scaling. Higher RPM = faster exhaust velocity

All properties lerp smoothly to prevent sudden visual changes. Particles automatically start/stop with engine state.
