    Air Brake Component

    AirBrakeComponent inspector.

Air hiss sound for pneumatic brake systems found on trucks and buses. Plays a hissing sound when brakes are released, simulating the sound of air being vented from pneumatic brake systems.

    Behavior

Triggers when brakes are released (only if engine is running). Enforces minimum interval between plays to prevent spam. Randomly selects from assigned clips with randomized volume (0.8-1.2x) for variation.

    Configuration

    • Minimum Interval: Time (seconds) between sound plays. Default: 4 seconds
    • Base Volume: Volume level before master volume is applied. Default: 0.1
    • Clips: One or more audio clips for random selection

    Setup

    1. Enable the component in SoundManager
    2. Assign one or more air brake hiss audio clips to the Clips list
    3. Adjust the Minimum Interval if needed (longer for less frequent hissing, shorter for more responsive sound)
    4. Test by driving forward, applying brakes, then releasing them while moving

Use this component for heavy vehicles with pneumatic brakes (trucks, buses). Not suitable for passenger cars with hydraulic brake systems.
